Lion City started with Lao Wang’s Hainanese chicken rice in 1986.
Kampung chicken, poached till tender. Rice cooked with chicken stock. House chilli and ginger made fresh to go with every plate.
Over the years, hotpot and zi char joined the menu, but the chicken rice stayed.
Today, we’re still here in Jalan Besar — serving lunch, dinner and supper till 5.30am.
